Q: From software engineering to the world of modeling — that’s a major shift! What inspired this transition?
Niharika: It truly was a big leap! While I loved learning technology, I realized my heart was somewhere else. When I moved to Hyderabad, I started receiving modeling opportunities and felt an instant connection. The city embraced me, and the energy was contagious. While working as a software developer, I discovered that modeling gave me a kind of creative freedom I’d never felt before. Eventually, I had to make a choice — and I decided to follow my passion wholeheartedly.
Q: How has your tech background influenced your approach to modeling and content creation?
Niharika: Surprisingly, my tech experience helps me a lot! It’s given me a structured mindset and analytical approach. Modeling and influencing also involve understanding lighting, camera angles, algorithms, and data — all very technical in their own way. My background helps me plan shoots, analyze engagement, and stay adaptable to digital trends. So even though I’m in fashion now, that logical side of me still plays a big part.
Q: Winning the Miss Universe Telangana title is an incredible milestone! What did that experience mean to you?
Niharika: It was life-changing. The title gave me a platform to represent not just myself but also the spirit of Telangana. It opened doors to collaborations with leading brands and creative professionals. More importantly, it gave me confidence — the belief that I could dream bigger and still stay rooted in where I come from.
Q: You’ve worked with big brands like Nykaa, Renee, and Elle18. Which collaboration stands out as most memorable?
Niharika: My collaboration with Nykaa will always be special because it was one of my first major campaigns. I felt both nervous and excited! It taught me how to balance authenticity with brand storytelling — creating content that’s “me” but also reflects the brand’s image. That balance is where the real magic happens.
Q: Hyderabad seems to hold a special place in your heart. How has the city shaped your journey?
Niharika: Hyderabad is my creative home. It’s a perfect blend of culture, warmth, and opportunity. The city gave me my first break and continues to inspire me every day. It’s modern yet rooted, just like I try to be. The people here are encouraging and open-minded — I think that’s what gave me the courage to pursue fashion full-time.
Q: The fashion and beauty industry is constantly evolving. How do you stay adaptable and continue growing?
Niharika: By constantly learning! I set small goals — whether it’s improving my fitness, experimenting with new looks, or learning about social media trends. I take feedback seriously and stay open to change. The industry evolves fast, so adaptability and curiosity are key.
Q: For those thinking about switching careers, especially from something as different as tech — what would your advice be?
Niharika: Be patient and practical. You don’t have to quit everything overnight — take small, calculated steps. Every skill you’ve learned has value, even if it doesn’t seem connected right now. I’d say trust your gut, work hard, and don’t be afraid to start from scratch. The journey might be tough, but it’s worth it when it aligns with your passion.
Q: The glamour industry can be intense. How do you stay grounded through it all?
Niharika: My family and close friends keep me grounded. Spending time with them is non-negotiable. I also take care of myself through fitness, skincare, and mindfulness — things that help me reconnect beyond the glam. It’s easy to get lost in the spotlight, so having those grounding rituals really helps.
Q: What are your top beauty and fashion essentials that define your personal style?
Niharika: Simplicity and consistency. I believe in sticking to a skincare routine that works for me — hydration, good sleep, and minimal products are my go-tos. In fashion, I lean towards timeless, versatile pieces that make me feel comfortable. Confidence, after all, comes from comfort.
Q: What’s next for you, Niharika? What are your future goals and dreams?
Niharika: I want to expand my influence — not just as a model but as a creator who inspires others to chase their dreams.
